Mentoring, business mentoring, Those Interesting People

Keep the context. Choose the level of mentoring that works for you.

Some people come back when there’s something worth another perspective. Others prefer to know they’ve already got a mentoring relationship in place as the year unfolds.

Either way, the useful bit is that we don’t have to begin again from scratch every time.

How much mentoring would be useful in your year?

You don’t have to arrive with a crisis or a perfectly formed question. Another perspective can be useful when things are going brilliantly too.

These are Jen’s individual mentoring options. If someone else would be a better fit, we’ll say so.

Mentoring, Lightly

£75 a month for 12 months

(£900 for the year)

For when you want someone who knows the backstory, but you don’t need them in your diary every month.

Includes:

  • 5 x 60-minute mentoring sessions to use across the year
  • 1 x 30-minute quick-thinking session
  • additional 60-minute sessions at £150

Useful when you want an experienced sounding board available at key points, without a regular mentoring rhythm taking up more space than you need.

The Mentoring Year

£125 a month for 12 months

(£1,500 for the year)

For when you want Jen properly in your corner as the year unfolds.

Includes:

  • 8 x 60-minute mentoring sessions across the year
  • 2 x 30-minute quick-thinking sessions
  • Light touch email or WhatsApp between sessions (for the brief sense-check that doesn’t need a whole conversation)
  • session 8 normally becomes our year-end review
  • additional 60-minute sessions at £150

Quick-thinking sessions are for the conversation that needs another angle, but not a whole hour.

Prefer to come back when you need me?

Standalone mentoring is £175 an hour.

Need a bit more space?

Half-day and full-day mentoring can also be arranged, including time on site where that would be useful.

Talk to Jen and we’ll scope it from there.

Mentoring for young people

take off, benefits of coaching, those interesting people, mentoring young people

Mentoring can also be useful when work and adult life are just beginning to come into view.

That might be a Year 13 student thinking about what comes after school, a neurodivergent young person leaving the structure of education, or someone starting their first job and trying to make sense of a whole new set of expectations.

Jen has delivered mentoring programmes in schools as well as private mentoring, and all three of us have substantial experience mentoring young people through our voluntary work.

The aim isn’t to tell someone what they ought to do next. It gives them another experienced person to think with while they make sense of what comes next.

The first chat is the first chat.

That conversation is about fit. Tell me what has brought you here and what you’d want from mentoring. I’ll tell you how I work and whether mentoring looks like the right route.

If it does, we can take it from there.

If another kind of support would make more sense, or I think someone else would be a stronger fit, I’ll say so.

Fit before ego.
